August 30, 2011 (Merrill, WI USA) - Thorogood has announced the introduction of a NEW and IMPROVED
wedge-inspired outsole for it's NEW line of MADE IN USA American Heritage work boots.
Thorogood has brought back a traditional-styled work boot that features the newest technology in
dual density rubber compounds - designed for GREATER SHOCK ABSORPTION SLIP RESISTANCE and MULTIPLE-USE FUNCTION. Complimenting the new outsole design
is naturally-worn, hand-rubbed 3.5oz full grain leather, triple stiching at all stress points
and Goodyear Welt construction.
Thorogood's newest outsole features a low-profile lug pattern with broader channels to
help keep dirt from collecting. A 90º heel provides stability for ladder climbing.
It also meets the ASTM F 289 standards for slip resistance and shares the same color
as the Thorogood MaxWear wedge outsole...sorta creamy pale yellow.
